Where the work actually happens.

RooftopIQ runs a solar project from the first deal through to a finished installation. One system, two front doors: dense and fast at the desk, as simple as a chat on the roof.

LIVE TODAY

One platform.
Both sides of the project.

Built for solar EPCs and the subcontractors who do the physical work.

Deals and customers

Leads, customers, contacts and your deal pipeline in one place. Every deal keeps its own record, so nothing depends on who remembers what.

Projects and tasks

Projects, tasks, dependencies, milestones and deadlines. Kanban boards, files, approvals and reusable templates. Project health you can read at a glance.

HOW WE WORK

Subcontractors and field crews do the physical work on a solar project. When they never enter the system, every module in it loses its value. That was the clearest signal from our pilots.

So we rebuilt RooftopIQ around the work itself. The office gets density and speed. The crew gets something as simple as a chat. One project, one set of tasks, one record.

Certainty that the work is done right. Visibility on where every project stands.

Small to medium sized solar EPCs handling high project volumes, across residential, commercial and industrial installations, and the subcontractors they work with.

Fleet visibility for diesel gensets.

Built on the same Helios platform as RooftopIQ, for operators running a fleet of standby and prime power generators.

Live status, every unit

Running, idle, fault or offline, across the whole fleet at a glance.

Fuel that doesn’t disappear quietly

Reconciles tank level against fuel burn to flag leaks and siphoning early.

Every run, accounted for

Hours run, energy delivered and fuel burned, logged per start-to-stop and exportable.

Real alarms, not noise

Alerts read straight from the controller’s own protection map, not invented thresholds.

THE FIT

Attaches to the machines already in the fleet.

Survey, fit and commission, riding a visit already on the schedule.

Survey

Controller model and fuel arrangement, per machine. The only variable in the fit.

Fit

Sensors and connectivity installed at the generator. The machine’s own controls stay untouched.

Commission

Signals verified live, alarms set to your escalation. The set is handed over on the platform.

Moving a machine is recorded as an attach and a detach. A dedicated dispatch and transit view is still to come. Control stays local: start, stop and mode are read from the controller, never commanded by the platform.

FAQ

Common questions

Everything you need to know about working with Rooftop Energy.

What is Rooftop Energy?

We’re a Malaysian solar company specialising in solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. We are also a technology company. We develop the software RooftopIQ: a multi-use solar software with modules covering a wide range of tools. RooftopIQ is aimed at EPCs, and helps them boost efficiency and improve their margins.

How do I apply for a solar project with Rooftop Energy?

The process is straightforward. Start by submitting your project details through our application form on this website (your location, roof condition, energy usage, and what you hope to achieve). We’ll review your submission within 5–7 working days. If your project is a good fit, we’ll schedule a call to discuss next steps, answer your questions, and outline a timeline. No hidden steps. No surprises.

Who is eligible for a Rooftop Energy solar project?

You need a suitable roof or land area (generally 50 m² minimum for residential, more for commercial projects). Your roof should be in good structural condition and face a direction that captures adequate sunlight, typically north-facing or east-facing in Malaysia. We also require a valid business registration or personal identification, and a clean utility account history. If you’re unsure whether your property qualifies, apply anyway. We’ll assess it during the review process.

How much will my solar system cost, and how much can I save?

Costs vary based on system size, roof complexity, and local grid conditions. Most of our residential clients see savings of 40–60% on electricity costs within the first year. We provide a detailed financial proposal after the initial assessment, showing your investment, expected monthly savings, payback timeline, and 25-year performance projections. This gives you the numbers you need to make an informed decision. No guesswork.

How long does installation take?

Once your project is approved, installation and setup takes 3–4 months. That breaks down to 2–3 weeks for design and permitting, 4–6 weeks for procurement and fabrication, and 2–3 weeks for installation and grid connection. We keep you updated at every stage. Once your system is live, monitoring and maintenance are handled by our team. You’ll see real-time performance data through our RooftopIQ platform, accessible 24/7 on any device.
